Shown above is a quick 'lash-up' of a solenoid engine built circa 1996. It was suggested to a member of SEPS staff that an engine could not be designed along the lines which this uses.
The large disk to which the crankshaft is connected has holes that can be seen by opto-interrupters that generate switching signals to supply the solenoid with pulses.
