Introduction to Section 7

We are going to consider the most simplest of second order circuits those that contain one resistor, one capacitor and one inductor.  Also we shall simplify things even more by only considering the series RLC circuit. Although the techniques shown here can be used to solve much more complex situations.

The Natural Response First we will show the techniques used to solve the equations for the natural response of a series RLC circuit.
Over, Under and Critically Damped Cases In this section we discuss the three different case that are arrived at from the solution of the equations
Over-Damped Case Here the focus is on the over-damped case
Under-Damped Case Here we consider the under-damped case
Critically Damped Case Finally we consider the under-damped case.
